The powerful Interior Principal Secretary, Dr. Karanja Kibicho, on Monday presented himself at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to record a statement.
His statement comes after impeached Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko allegedly implicated him in hooliganism in the 2017 electioneering period.
On Sunday, while addressing the public at a rally in Dagoretti South Constituency in Nairobi, the ex-Nairobi governor claimed that PS Kibicho was involved in the planning of plots to paint the Orange Democratic Movement party in a bad light.

Dr. Kibicho spent a little under two hours after arriving at the DCI headquarters on Kiambu Road, Nairobi County at midday.
After recording his statement, the PS left without addressing the media.
