KCSE 2021 results: Top 15 candidates

Jariel Ndeda Obura, a candidate at Mang’u High School garnered 87.167 points topping the 2021 KCSE exams.

Obura was closely followed by Mukuha Timothy Kamau from Alliance High School who managed 87.139 points ahead of Job Ngara, another student from Mang’u High School who scored 87.1 points.

The fourth top candidate in the exam results released by Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha today is Chege David Kamau from St Joseph Boys High School in Kitale who scored 87.0 points.

He was closely followed by Ramadhan Musa Tepo from Light Academy who also managed over 87 points followed by Mwedo Sicily Mutheu from Kenya High School who gallantly garnered 87.086 marks.

Ian Mwai Toyota from Kakamega High School managed 87.08 followed by Lita Shekinah from Kenya High School who managed 87.079.

The ninth top candidate across the country is Mushindi Daniel Ouma from Light Academy who scored 87 points followed by Brenda Cherotich from Kipsigis High School who also settled on 87 points.

Others who scored 87 points respectively are Mugane Job Ngatia from Strathmore School, Ariona Andaga from Kapsabet Boys, Mutethia Caleb Mbao from Mang’u High School, Melany Nelima from Kenya High School and Maina Millicent Wamuru from Kenya High School.

In the results, 789 male candidates scored A plains beating their female counterparts who only had 349 A plains summing up to 1,138 candidates compared to last year’s 0.12 per cent.

Some 826,807 candidates sat the exam in 10,413 centres compared to 752,981 in 10,437 centres in 2020 reflecting an increase of 78,034 or 9.39 per cent.

Out of the candidates, 421,000 were male while the rest were female.
