Digital communication strategist Dennis Itumbi couldn't contain his joy as his friend Jacque Maribe was acquitted in the murder case of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

Following the conclusion of the court proceedings, Itumbi and Maribe shared a heartfelt embrace, beaming with smiles in light of the court's verdict.

Expressing his elation, Itumbi took to his X account to celebrate Maribe's victory.

"Jacque Maribe is free! Maribe did not kill Monica. Daaamn! I feel so vindicated!" his post started.

He lamented about the six-year ordeal Maribe endured describing her as a victim of unjust persecution.

Itumbi likened Maribe to a phoenix rising from the ashes, urging her to embrace her freedom.

He pledged his support and her friends as she embarked on the next chapter of her life.

"My good friend, Welcome back to the embrace of freedom. Let the record reflect that you have always been innocent," Itumbi asserted.

He also called for accountability, demanding that those responsible for Maribe's ordeal be held to task.

"To Monica's family, beyond Justice, may comfort fill your hearts," Itumbi said.

Adding;

"Jacqueline Maribe, there is a reason storms are named after women. Storms, like focused women cannot be stopped, you are a lovely storm!"

Jowie guilty, Maribe acquitted

Jowie Irungu, who was charged alongside Maribe for the murder of Monica Kimani, has been found guilty by the court.

Justice Grace Nzioka delivered the ruling, stating that Monica Kimani's death was not natural or accidental but a result of homicide, as proven by the prosecution.

The court concluded that Jowie knew Monica before her murder, despite his claim otherwise, as they had been classmates at Kenya Polytechnic.

Furthermore, Jowie was found guilty of stealing Dominic Bisera Haron's ID two days before the murder, which he used to access Monica's residence.

Jowie was also identified as the last person seen with Monica before her death. The gun he possessed, which he claimed he accidentally shot himself with, was determined by the court to have been used to subdue Monica before her murder.

Additionally, the court ruled that both Jowie and Maribe provided false statements regarding the shooting incident. Maribe had initially claimed that Jowie was shot at their gate, which was found to be untrue.
