Three people died on the spot in a grisly road accident that happened in Kisaju area, Isinya along the Nairobi-Namanga road.
The 9:00 pm Sunday accident occurred when a saloon car headed towards Kitengela collided head-on with a trailer that was heading in the opposite direction.
It is said that the Saloon car tried to overtake a matatu before it collided with an oncoming speeding trailer.
According to the Isinya Sub-County Police Commander Ancent Kaloki, the three died on the spot.
"It is sad when lives are lost. The two women and a girl aged around eight years died on the spot. The bodies of the three were badly mutilated," Kaloki said.
He further cautioned all road users to be careful in order to avert evitable accidents.
"I call on motorists to stop speeding and overtaking carelessly. Motorists need to be much more careful at night and during the rainy season due to poor visibility," he said.
It was not immediately established the relationship of the three.
The bodies were moved to Kitengela Sub-County hospital for identification.
