Embu Governor Martin Wambora on Monday left President Uhuru and other dignitaries present at the launch of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Changamwe, Mombasa in stitches after he accidentally started reading a wrong speech at the function.

The second-term governor was invited to speak on behalf of the governors when he removed a wrong speech from his pocket and unknowingly read it before the president for a few minutes.

Governor Wambora was forced to cut short his speech so as to look for the correct one inside his documents in vain.

"This is the speech that I read at the other event," the governor said as he folded it away.

"I forgot the right speech in the Health Cabinet Secretary's vehicle but its still okay," he added amid laughter.

Since he had misplaced his speech, Governor Wambora was forced to address the audience off the head, praising the government for its achievement in the rollout of the UHC.
