A 45-year-old Sugar cane farmer from Dago village, West Kanyamwa Location Kosewe ward, Ndhiwa sub-county who went missing on Friday has been found dead.
The body of Stephen Odoyo Oluoch was found by a close relative dumped in a sugar cane plantation next to their home on Monday morning.
According to his younger brother Ben Odero, the victim's eyes were gouged out and his head, neck and hands had deep cuts.
Odero said that the body had begun rotting and revealed that his killers might have poured acid on the wounds which were occasioned by deep cuts he suffered.
"Oluoch left home on Friday and he never came back. As a family, we got worried and started looking for him. On Saturday we made a report to the chief's office," the victim's brother Ben Odero said.
"Together with some villagers, we searched all the nearby sugar plantations and nearby bushes however our efforts to find him a live bore no fruit. Today (Monday) morning my uncle stumbled on his lifeless body dumped in a sugar plantation next to his house," he added.
Area chief Christopher Mirewa confirmed the incident saying his office had already received the report about the deceased.
According to the administrator, the deceased was last spotted next to river Miranga with an identified individual on Friday evening before he went missing.
The administrator said they are suspecting the deceased might have been murdered somewhere else before his body was dumped on the farm.
"According to the family members, the location where the body was found had been searched and even other nearby farms, however, there was no sight of any lying body," he said
"We are suspecting that the late Oluoch might have been murdered somewhere before the body was dumped next to their family homestead between Sunday night and Monday morning," he added.
The administrator said together with the Police, they have begun investigations to come to the root cause of the murder of the deceased who was a father of five and apprehend the suspects.
He however told the locals to find better ways of solving disputes instead of resorting to taking away other people's lives.
He said the local administrations are readily available in villages where anyone who might have been offended by his fellow village mate or anyone can report and find a better way of squaring the matter.
The body was collected by the security Officers from Ndhiwa and taken to the Ndhiwa subcounty mortuary for preservation.
