The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss Amin Mohammed has condoled with the family and friends of the agency's late creative designer Boniface Muganda, who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Nairobi on Saturday, October 22.

Amin on Tuesday, October 25, eulogised Muganda as a hardworking and self-driven officer who performed his duties diligently and was an inspiration to many people with whom he interacted.

"Mr Amin prayed to Allah to give the family of the deceased courage and peace, during this difficult time of mourning," DCI said in a statement.

At the same time, the Director urged the team of detectives drawn from various forensic units tasked to investigate the incident to leave no stone unturned in establishing the cause of the accident and bring the suspect (s) to book.

Muganda was hit by a speeding motorist along the Northern by-bass at Marurui, near Ashaki club on Saturday at around 9:40 pm.

The officer, who was attached to the Corporate Communications & Public Affairs Unit, was headed home on his motorbike at the time of the accident.

He was rushed to Kenyatta University Hospital in critical condition and declared dead on arrival.
