‘Brace for more rainfall’ – weatherman w*rns Kenyans

The Kenya Meteorological Department has warned Kenyans to brace for more rainfall in the next one week from January 15 to January 21, 2024.

In a statement on Sunday, the weatherman predicted that most parts of the country will experience wet weather for the week starting Monday.

The places likely to experience intense rainfall in the one week starting Monday include Lake Victoria Basin, Western Kenya, Central and Southern Rift Valley, Central Highlands including Nairobi City County, Southeastern Lowlands and the Coastal region

"Rainfall is likely to continue over several parts of the country including Lake Victoria Basin, Western Kenya, Central and Southern Rift Valley, Central Highlands including Nairobi City County, Southeastern Lowlands and the Coastal region," The Met Department predicted.

The weatherman also predicted that parts of the Northwest and Northeast are also likely to receive occasional rainfall.

Isolated storms and heavy rainfall are also likely to occur in the South Rift Valley, Southeast lowlands, Central Highlands and South Coast.

The weatherman also predicts that most parts of Nairobi will experience over 15 millimetres of rainfall on Sunday.
