A 32-year-old man from Nairobi was on Thursday evening arrested on suspicion of impersonating a National Intelligence Service (NIS) officer.

Ambrose Nesta Makokha was arrested at the Industrial Area Police Station, where he had allegedly gone to interrogate a prisoner.

The DCI says on Twitter that Makokha produced a fake NIS identity card, demanding that the OCS allows him to probe the prisoner.

The suspect will be arraigned on Wednesday, August 28.
