Keroche heiress Anerlisa Muigai has slammed Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Robert Alai over his comment about her mother Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja.

Alai in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 10:26 pm claimed that Senator Karanja drinks like a fish after she called on the impeachment of Nakuru governor Susan Kihika.

"The problem with Tabitha Karanja is that she spends more time drinking alcohol than even trying to understand what’s happening in Nakuru County. Please address Governor @susankihika while sober," Alai wrote.

Anerlisa Muigai issued a stern warning to Robert Alai while responding to his remarks about her mother.

The Keroche heiress warned the Kileleshwa MCA to stop telling lies about her mother.

"ROBERT and I repeat ROBERT!!!!! STOP TELLING LIES ABOUT MY MUM," Anerlisa Muigai wrote.

Robert Alai rudely dismissed Anerlisa Muigai's warning and called her a spoiled brat, insisting that her mother is a public figure and as such is subject to criticism.

"Parents, tell your spoiled little brats that the only place you can demand to be left alone and not criticised is when not in a public office as elected or appointed official. You can’t be so drunk and clueless while serving as a public officer. We will call you out whether your children likes it or not," Robert Alai wrote on X.

Millicent Omanga

Anerlisa Muigai equally picked up a fight with former nominated senator Millicent Omanga who criticised her mother for calling on Nakuru MCAs to impeach governor Susan Kihika.

Omanga in a post on Facebook on January 25, 2024, faulted the Nakuru senator for calling for the removal of Governor Kihika.

"Senator Tabitha Karanja's call for the impeachment of Governor Susan Kihika is unfortunate and smacks of hypocrisy. It can't be gainsaid that the people of Nakuru are in need of services. Governor Kihika should be supported to deliver on her mandate without unnecessary diversions and political witch-hunt. For God's sake, women should stop being their own enemies!" Omanga wrote.

In a quick rejoinder, Anerlisa Muigai fired at Millicent Omanga insisting that her mother was doing her job to the best of her ability.

“Millicent Omanga don’t try my mum. When she is given a job to do she does at her best, she was given a job by her Nakuru County residence and she will do it at her best,” Anerlisa wrote.

Governor Kihika Vs Senator Karanja

Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja clashed with Governor Susan Kihika over the ongoing tussle over War Memorial Hospital.

The row has seen services at Nakuru War Memorial Hospital disrupted as the county tries to wrestle control of the facility from its management.

The hospital management and the Nakuru County government have been embroiled in a scuffle over the 25-acre piece of land.

In October 2023, the Nakuru County government took over the management of the hospital on the grounds that the management had forged documents.

Last week, patients at the hospital were forcefully transferred to the Nakuru Provisional General Hospital Annex Wing following the dispute.

The county government had sought orders to take over the hospital in 2023 but the court halted the process.

Senator Karanja threatened to push for the impeachment of Governor Kihika over what she termed as mismanagement of the health sector stemming from the War Memorial Hospital takeover.

Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, Karanja said the Nakuru governor was incompetent and inhumane for sabotaging health operations at War Memorial Hospital.

Karanja said that Kihika ordered county officers to raid the facility thereby leading to disruptions which hindered medical care.

“Instead of the governor implementing any plans for the War Memorial Hospital facility, she closes it, being the only hospital which meets international standards equivalent to Nairobi and the Aga Khan Hospital.

“As the Senator of Nakuru County and the deputy Majority leader of the Senate, I strongly condemn the attack on the hospital by the county. This shows we have a governor who is so inhumane and never follows the rule of law and never respects the court," Nakuru Senator said.

She noted that the raid by the county government officials at the facility left tens of patients unattended, adding that the move was enough reason to impeach Kihika.
