Safaricom has notified its users of an upcoming system upgrade that will render all M-PESA services unavailable on Monday, 18th July 2022, between 12:30 AM and 1:00 AM.
In a communique, the leading communications company stated that the temporary system upgrade will not affect other services like calls, data, and SMS.
"As part of our systems' investment, we will carry out a planned M-PESA upgrade on Monday 18th July 2022 between 12:30 AM and 1:00 AM. All M-PESA services will be unavailable during this upgrade," the statement read in part.
While apologizing to its users for the inconvenience the unavailability of M-PESA services will cause, the telco company underscored that it is committed to providing quality and seamless services to its users.
"We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your support as we strive to enable you to achieve even more through our innovations," stated Safaricom.
"We are constantly investing in our systems to serve you better, provide you with additional innovations, and support increasing customer growth and usage."
