Sammy Muraya alias DJ Mo together with his wife Size 8 failed to attend Akothee's wedding even though they were invited.
Akothee married Denis Schweizer alias Omosh at the Windsor Golf Hotel in Nairobi on April 10, 2023.
The wedding was attended by several celebrities including the likes of Jalang'o, Lillian Muli, Betty Kyallo, Bahati and his wife Diana Marua among others.
DJ Mo was forced to respond after netizens questioned why his wife Size 8 and he were conspicuously missing at Akothee's wedding - with some even suggesting they were denied the invitation.
In a post on InstaStories, DJ Mo laughed off claims that they were not invited to Akothee's wedding. To prove his critics wrong, the mix master shared a copy of the invitation card.
Not around
DJ Mo further explained that his wife and he couldn't attend Akothee's wedding because they were not around and that by the time they came back, it was already too late.
“Watu was maswali tu. Yes, we were also invited… but we were not around…came back late,” DJ MO explained.
Harusi irudiwe
Elsewhere, musician KRG the Don has called on Akothee to do another wedding after he failed to attend.
Speaking in an interview with online media, KRG insisted that Akothee and Omondi must redo their wedding.
The controversial musician claimed that he was ready to offer Ksh50 million to Akothee to finance another wedding.
“Sasa mimi nlikua busy that’s why nilisema lazima hio harusi irudiwe. Kama budget hawana mimi ntatoa budget mpya. Ntawapa ata kama ni 50 million,” he said.
He further alleged that he would get president William Ruto to attend if Akothee decides to redo the wedding.
“Akothee rudia harusi sasa raudi hii nilete mbaka rais. Mimi ntamleta ntakuja na yeye hapo. Arudie harusi hio harusi yake hatujakubali,” he said.
