Saumu Mbuvi's estranged baby daddy Anuar Loitiptip is among the shortlisted candidates who will be contesting for the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) positions.

Public Service Commission (PSC) on Monday, February 20, 2023, shortlisted 224 candidates for CAS positions.

2022 Election losers such as Loitiptip are among many politicians who were handed a lifeline after being shortlisted for CAS positions.

Loitiptip vied as an Independent Candidate in the August 9, 2022, general election after losing to Francis Kariuki Mugo in the primary held by United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party in Lamu.

He was however unsuccessful in his bid to retain his seat in the August 9 general election.

Joseph Githuku of the Jubilee party beat stiff competition from eight competitors to win the Lamu senate contest.

Anwar Loitiptip (Independent), Francis Kariuki Mugo (UDA), lawyer Yusuf Mahmoud Aboubakar (ANC), Bunu Haji (ODM), Khamis Nassor Mbaruk (Kanu), Ahmed Suleiman Ali (UPIA), Abdiwely Mohamed Dhahir of the National Alliance Party of Kenya and Abudi Omar Mohamed (Wiper) were among candidates who competed in the Lamu senatorial race.

Saumu Mbuvi glad Loitiptip lost

Saumu Mbuvi couldn't hide her joy on learning that her baby daddy had been floored in the Lamu senatorial race by Jubilee Party's Joseph Githuku.

The mother of two took to social media to express her joy after Loitiptip was defeated in the Lamu contest.

"Congratulations to the new Lamu Senator and Women Rep. Mko wapi tuanze kusherekea," Saumu Mbuvi wrote on Instagram.

Loitiptip and Saumu met in Mombasa in 2019 where the latter was on holiday while the former was in the coastal city for work.

The two were blessed with a baby girl who was born on March 8, 2020, as the world was celebrating International Women’s Day.

On February 15, 2022, Saumu announced that she had parted ways with Loitiptip as she accused him of brutally assaulting her.

In a Questions and Answers (Q&A) session with her fans on Instagram, Saumu detailed how the Lamu senator nearly killed her as she posted a photo showing her swollen face as a result of the assault.

“These are things he did to me. He almost killed me, I will forever fight for women to stand for their rights. Never allow a man to be violent to you,” Saumu wrote.

In another Q&A with her fans on Instagram in January 2022, Saumu revealed that Loitiptip had completely neglected his fatherly duties to their daughter.

“Deadbeat kabisa, has never supported a thing,” Saumu Mbuvi responded after a fan asked if Loitiptip was supporting their daughter.

In March 2022, Saumu Mbuvi once again claimed she was brutally assaulted after Loitiptip sent his girlfriend Aeedah Bambi to beat her up at her birthday party.

The mother of two took to social media to blame her baby daddy for sponsoring the attack.

“Anwar shame on you!!! Sending your woman and her friends to beat me up on my birthday, leave me in peace,” wrote Saumu Mbuvu as she showed her bloodied hand.

In late July 2022, Saumu Mbuvi said that she was willing to part with an undisclosed amount of money to deny ever dating her ex who she didn't name.
