Bernice Saroni has called out the government for failing to honour its pledge to help sickly musician Peter Mwangi aka Miracle Baby.

Speaking in a TikTok video uploaded on her account on March 20, 2024, Saroni said that Miracle Baby's partner Carol Katrue reached out to her seeking help regarding the musician's medical condition.

The US-based social media personality said that Katrue told her that they did not have money to buy an ostomy bag for Miracle Baby.

Ostomy bags are used for collecting pee and poop for a short while to allow patients' small or large intestines to heal.

"Carol Katrue reached out to me last night. So we have been talking. Na jana Caro alikua na stress sana so she called me akaniambia Peter doesn't have the ostomy bag, it is leaking hawana pesa ya kununua," Bernice Saroni said.

The mother of four wondered how Miracle Baby's situation had turned for the worse yet President William Ruto reached out to help him.

"And then my question was 'I think the President took care of the bill? The President took care of everything concerning Miracle Baby's health and the hospital was paid off?'" She posed.

Saroni noted that Carol Katrue told her that the help they were promised by Ruto never came through except for the Ksh300,000 cash they were given by the President through former Starehe MP Jaguar.

"Caro akaniambia hakuna story kama hio, hio yote ilikua story ya jaba. Yes, they received the Ksh300,000 but the hospital was not paid. And I was like 'I think need to come out and tell people what is going on, the truth so that people can help you'," she said.

The US-based businesswoman went live on TikTok to fundraise for Miracle Baby after Carol Katrue told her the facts of the matter.

She managed to raise Ksh67,000 during the session with her fans.

"And thank you guys so much tuliingia live na Caro na watu wakachanga Ksh67,000 so God bless you guys the online family for those who came through," Saroni remarked.

Bernice added that Miracle Baby needs Ksh45,000 per week to cover medical bills (buying ostomy bags and paying the nurse who is taking care of him).

She also stated that the musician needs an additional Ksh500,000 to cover the cost of surgery he is slated to undergo in three week's time. The operation will restore the normal working of his digestive system.

"This is a cry for Miracle Baby, this is a cry for Peter, this is a cry for Miracle Baby to get back on his feet. At least tuweze kulipa nurse, tuweze kubuy hio bag. Per week they need Ksh45,000.

"Hio bag moja ni Ksh7,500, the nurse is paid Ksh6,000. For those three weeks we need Ksh135,000 and tumeweza kuraise Ksh67,000.

"So lets meet tomorrow we continue with the fundraising. My wish and my prayer is for us to raise the Ksh500,000 tulipie Peter by the time anaenda hio surgery in three weeks tukue tushaclear hio bill," Saroni said.

Tell people the truth

Bernice Saroni further challenged President William Ruto to set the record straight about his pledge to help Miracle Baby.

She also mentioned Jaguar and KRG the Don who went to Miracle Baby's house to rescue him on Ruto's directive.

"For all that story please let's tag the President coz the President said that amelipa hio bill so let's tag the President atuambie what happened. Ilikua PR ama ilikua nini?

"Kwa nini wanasema wanalipa bill na wasilipe bill waconfuse watu kwa social media Caro akose kusaidiwa? So let's tag them and we know the whole story, what's going on what is behind the story. Yani aseme ukweli what is going on, Jaguar, KRG what is going on?" Bernice Saroni stated.

Ruto's directive

Ruto dispatched former Stahere MP Charles Njagua Kanyi aka Jaguar to take the Miracle Baby to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) to receive specialized treatment.

On March 5, 2024, Jaguar who was in the company of comedian Chipukeezy, musicians KRG the Don, Gabu formerly of P Unit and Weezdom together with a medical team from KNH visited Miracle Baby at his home, picked him up and drove him to the hospital.

Speaking at Miracle Baby's house before their departure to KNH, Jaguar conveyed Ruto's message to the ailing singer.

The former Starehe MP stated that the President ordered Miracle Baby's immediate admission at the national hospital.

Jaguar said that Ruto would pay the bill that Miracle Baby would incur at KNH.

The former Starehe MP further gave Miracle Baby’s partner Carol Katrue Ksh300,000 which he said was from Ruto and was to cover additional expenses at home.
