Gospel singer Ringtone was among musicians who turned up at the Milimani Law Courts to show support for Eric Omondi.

Eric Omondi and 16 other content creators were on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, charged before Milimani Law Courts with demonstrating along Parliament road over the high cost of living.

The controversial gospel singer caused a stir at Milimani Law Courts as he carried 'Ksh2 million' in cash in a big brown envelope.

"Nimekuja leo kusaidia Eric Omondi kwa sababu yeye ni fisi amekataa yesu. Fisi anachezacheza simba anamuokua. Amekwama kwa matope. Unajua fisi akikwama kwa matope simba ndo anakuja anamgonga ndo nimekuja. Unaona venye hii bag imejaa pesa yote. Hii ni pesa nimebeba hapa milioni mbili," Ringtone told vloggers outside the Milimani court.

Asked if he was only chasing clout since he arrived after the court had already freed Eric Omondi on a Ksh10,000 cash bail, Ringtone said he would donate the Ksh2 million he was carrying to children's homes to prove he was serious.

"Akitoka ndani ju pesa tulikua tushaleta kama watumishi wa Mungu atatuambia ile Children's home anataka tupeleke hii pesa. Bas aseme, mumuulize children's home aitaje na hii pesa tutadonate kwa hio children's home. Ju pesa ni mingi 2 million I think hii ni machildren's home nne tupeleke 500k (kwa kila)," Ringtone said.

Ringtone's bail offer to Eric Omondi comes weeks after the comedian accused him of sleeping with three girls per day.

"Sasa mumeacha gospel industry watu kama Ringtone Apoko - a friend of mine who I know his place and I know what he does from Thursday to Sunday. He changes women like clothes. Ringtone analala na waschana watatu per day. The most immoral people in Kenya are former gospel artistes," Eric Omondi said in a video.

Ringtone expressed shock at how he could 'eat' women like food three times a day as claimed by Eric Omondi.
