Award-winning Film Director Philip Karanja popularly known as Phil Director has parted ways with his wife Kate Actress.
In a joint statement, the duo announced their breakup on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, after five years of marriage.
"We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children," the two stated.
The statement confirms recent rumours that the two had separated, with Kate having deleted all photos with Karanja from her social media accounts.
For months, the lovebirds remained tight-lipped about their separation despite several indicators that there was trouble in Paradise.
In April, Kate and Phil ended an interview with Milele FM's Ankali Ray after being asked about rumours of their separation.
"I don't understand, are you calling me about work? If you are calling me about my family that's different," Kate said as she hung up on the presenter.
The two have one daughter together.
