Media personality Lilian Muli is mad at trolls speculating about her relationship status.

The Citizen TV news anchor was on Sunday, June 18, 2023, forced to respond to viral reports that she was open to dating broke and younger men after several failed relationships.

Lilian, in a tweet, alluded that nothing could be further from the truth and warned her followers to treat the reports circulating online as "fake".

"Fake! Stop this nonsense," the beauty captioned a screenshot of an article published on a local blog.

The fake reports saw Lilian top Twitter trends for the better part of Sunday morning as overzealous Kenyans on Twitter, popularly referred to as KoT, weighed in on the subject with some claiming age was catching up with her.

Lilian celebrated her 41st birthday on May 4.

She has had a fair of relationship drama since divorcing her husband Moses Kanene in 2016. The couple went separate ways after seven years of marriage. They sired one child together.

The TV girl later started seeing Shabana FC chairman Jared Nevaton with whom she shares a son.

In an incident in 2018, Lilian was caught up in a controversy with the Shabana boss, whom she referred to as a “community husband”. They parted ways soon after.

Since their much-publicized break-up, Lilian said she would never settle for an ordinary lover.

“Never settle for an ordinary lover, never settle for less than you deserve, you are so worthy of being loved so passionately and madly,” she wrote.

“You deserve to be loved as a whole with all your imperfections and flaws. You deserve someone who puts you first as if you were the only thing that matters.”
