Content creator Andrew Kibe came out to explain his decision to do an interview with Eve Mungai but not her ex-lover Director Trevor.

Speaking to vloggers on the sidelines of his newly launched show Comedy Night which was held at Nairobi Street Kitchen, Kibe claimed that he snubbed Trevor for an interview with Eve Mungai because he failed to pay him.

"Trevor hakunilipa, mimi sina feelings. Mimi nasema Trevor alikua anilipe hakulipa. So why would I give an interview for free? Do I look stupid?" Kibe said.

Asked if Eve Mungai paid him to agree to be interviewed by her, Andrew Kibe cunningly avoided the question and redirected the focus on Trevor not paying him.

"Mungai Eve paid you?" A vlogger asked Kibe.

"I am not saying that, I am saying Trevor hakunilipa," he answered.

As vloggers insisted on finding out if Mungai paid Kibe for an interview, the former Kiss FM presenter changed his statement and claimed that he did not do an interview with Trevor because he didn't ask for it.

"But Trevor didn't ask for interview but Mungai Eve asked for an interview," Kibe said.

The interview

Andrew Kibe was the first person that Eve Mungai interviewed on her newly launched YouTube channel that she created after Trevor fired her.

Mungai's interview with Kibe premiered on YouTube on March 2, 2024, and has so far garnered nearly 600,000 views.

Her new YouTube channel experienced exponential growth gaining over 50,000 subscribers hours after its launch on March 1, 2024.

Bitter breakup

Director Trevor, who was romantically involved with Eve Mungai for nearly five years, confirmed they have parted ways both personally and professionally.

In a series of Insta Stories on February 19, 2024, Trevor disclosed that he had assumed full control of the YouTube channel and no longer needed Eve Mungai's services.

When asked if he would continue working with Mungai, Trevor made it clear that her involvement in their joint platforms was terminated.

"No! Her services are no longer needed in the following platforms: YouTube - 754K subscribers, Insta Fame - 104K subscribers, Facebook - 874K followers," he responded.

Trevor rebranded the YouTube channel under the name 'Kenya Online Media'.
