Director Trevor has confirmed the end of his whirlwind romance with YouTuber Eve Mungai, claiming that he has fired her.

In a series of Insta Stories on Monday, February 19, Trevor, who had been collaborating with his lover on their popular YouTube channel boasting over 700K subscribers, disclosed that he has assumed full control of the channel and no longer needs Mungai's services.

He unveiled the channel's new identity, rebranding it as 'Kenya Online Media (KOM)', effective Tuesday, February 20.

Trevor's announcement came alongside a cryptic message seemingly directed at his former partner.

"Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago," he wrote.

He went further to hold a Q&A session to address fans' curiosity on collaboration with Mungai.

When asked if he would continue working with Mungai, Trevor made it clear that her involvement in their joint platforms was terminated.

"No! Her services are no longer needed in the following platforms: YouTube - 754K subscribers, Insta Fame - 104K subscribers, Facebook - 874K followers," he responded.

Meanwhile, Mungai Eve, who recently left the country, has remained silent regarding the state of their relationship and joint careers.

Trevor, Mungai breakup

The once-power couple sparked breakup rumours in January 2024 after deleting photos of each other from their Instagram accounts.

This came hot on the heels of Trevor expressing his interest in adopting a child in 2024.

This revelation stirred thought-provoking reactions from fans, with many expressing confusion and concern.

During a Q&A session on Instagram, a fan asked Trevor if he had a child.

"Uko na mtoi?"

In response, Trevor confirmed his desire to adopt, specifying, "I want to adopt one, a baby boy."

This elicited speculations as some wondered why the couple could not have a child naturally.

Eve, in a previous statement addressed the persistent rumours about her pregnancy noting that she wished to focus on her career first as having a child needed commitment.

"The rumours have been there since last year, I am also wondering because if it would be a normal pregnancy it would have been out. Getting kids is a blessing and I would be happy If I were pregnant but for now am not. Getting pregnant requires financial and psychological preparedness. So I'm not considering getting kids. I still want to concentrate on my career," Eve noted.

Addressing Trevor's stance on having children, Eve disclosed that he didn't want a child as well for now citing that he knew that it was not the right time because he introduced her to the job they do now.

"Kwanza yeye ndio hataki kabisa. He feels it is not the right time to get pregnant because he is the one who introduced me to this job," she said.
