Akothee raised eyebrows on Father's Day when she decided to celebrate herself as a 'father' to her five children.
Father's Day is a holiday of honouring fatherhood and paternal bonds, as well as the influence of fathers in society. [sic]
The only male figure Akothee honoured on Father's Day was her dad. She heaped praise on her dad in a post on social media.

The self-proclaimed 'president of single mothers' wrote a letter to herself on Father's Day honouring herself for raising her kids on her own.
Akothee has five children who were sired by three different baby daddies of different nationalities – a Kenyan, a Frenchman and a Swiss.
Her three daughters Vesha, Celly Rue and Prudence were fathered by her first husband Jared Okello while her sons Ojwang and Oyoo were sired by the Frenchman and Swiss respectively.
Akothee explained in her letter why she ignored her three baby daddies to celebrate herself on Father's Day.
