Dinah Nyaboke Rioba, who hails from Bungoma County, is contemplating repeating her primary education despite posting good results in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams due to lack of school fees.
Dinah, who scored 401 marks in her KCPE exams, was among the top student of Bungoma DEB Primary School.
Form one students are scheduled for admission on Monday, August 2.

But due to financial constraints, she might not join the institution which she says is her dream school.
The girl had all her hope pegged on the county scholarship program but her fate was sealed at the eleventh hour when she was told she was not among those considered for the aid.
“My parents are unable to afford my school feels. I was sure I will earn a scholarship but I was unfortunately told that I was not among those who were not selected by the county,” she said.
Her mother Priscilla Nyanchera, who had accompanied her to the former primary school, said she has no option other than to let her daughter rewind class eight.
According to her, she sells groceries and that is not enough to foot the required Ksh53,554 annual school fees given that she has another kid in high school.
Priscilla suspects a foul play in the award of scholarship since she had been informed a week ago that her daughter had been considered only to be told otherwise on Monday, July 26.
“I got a text message informing me to take admission letters to the county for consideration. When it reached Monday when they were launching it, I realized my daughter had not been selected. I have no other way of taking my daughter to school other than letting her repeat school,” Teresia said.
Dinah is now appealing for help from well-wishers who can support her join her dream school so that she can pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer.
“I am disappointed because my dream is to become a lawyer and that begins with joining my dream school. I am appealing to anyone who can help me join Moi Girls Eldoret so that I can pursue my dreams,” she appealed.
