Police in Suna East Migori county have arrested a Form Two student who killed his Class Six girlfriend

The student from Nyango Mixed Secondary School was forcefully taken to Oyie Police post by his own relatives.

Fred Opiyo the assistant chief in Kirengo Sub-location said the suspect was nabbed in Suna West where he had gone into hiding.

The girl studies at Petal Academy and had on Tuesday, July 27 visited his boyfriend when the tragic incident happened.

“Investigations into the incident are ongoing to establish what really transpired. She had injuries on her head inflicted by a blunt object,” Opiyo said.

He revealed that the body was found on Wednesday, July 28 a short distance from the suspect’s home.

The body was moved to Migori County Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue.

The lifeless body is awaiting an autopsy.
