Controversial businesswoman Joyce Akinyi has been arrested.
Joyce Akinyi was arrested early Saturday, July 13 on suspicion of drug-trafficking.
Police say they apprehended the woman at her hotel in Nairobi West, where they allegedly found her in possession of 2 kilograms of white powder believed to be cocaine valued at Ksh4 million.

Joyce Akinyi, whose history is riddled with drug-trafficking allegations, was reportedly driven to Muthaiga Police Station Saturday morning, where she is being held.
During her arrest, the controversial businesswoman was allegedly in the company of a man said to be of Congolese or Nigerian descent and another female Kenyan.
DCI officers say the suspects will be detained throughout the weekend.
