Migori and Siaya counties' governors, Okoth Obado and Cornel Rasanga, were on Monday denied the chance to share the podium with Raila Odinga at an event held at Ciala Resort in Kisumu County.

The duo arrived late at the meeting chaired by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila and headed straight for the podium where other governors were seated.

But to their surprise, Raila ordered them to sit with the rest of the guests.

"Go and sit with the rest of the crowd," Raila told them.

Obado arrived at the meeting when Raila was addressing hundreds of leaders who had turned up for the meeting to drum up support for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

Raila had summoned all ODM leaders in the Nyanza region, formerly Nyanza Province, the BBI meeting.

The invitation letter by the ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna was addressed to all governors, MPs, MCAs, and all members of the ODM County Coordination Committees.

It was expected that each county delegation consists of no more than 200 people.
