The body of a 22-year-old Bomet University student who had reportedly gone missing has been found floating in a river within the outskirts of the town.

While confirming the incident, Bomet Central sub-county deputy police commandant Ali Bashir noted that the deceased, Mary Ann Wangari went missing last week on Tuesday, prompting a search that went futile.

Wangari, a fourth-year student pursuing communication and public relations, was set to sit her final exams a week before she went missing.

Her decomposing body was discovered floating in a river in the Chebirir area by a local resident who informed the police.

"The body was discovered by a member of the public who proceeded to inform the police," Bashir stated.

The body of the deceased was moved to a nearby morgue pending an autopsy.

Elsewhere in Kasarani, a 26-year-old lady is receiving treatment after she was pushed from the second floor of an apartment in Kasarani, Nairobi county.

The lady, Cynthia Mboya, was allegedly pushed by her boyfriend Collins Kiptoo and his friend Ian Kipkorir after an altercation that turned physical.

It is reported that Cynthia broke Kiptoo's television after she confronted him about having an affair with another woman.

She is expected to record her statement with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Meanwhile, her alleged assailants were arrested and are set to appear before the court today.
