A murder trial of a Kenyan man who allegedly ended the lives of 24 elderly women is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, November 12.
Billy Chemirmir, 49, whose roots can be traced to the outskirts of Eldama Ravine in Baringo County is accused of targeting elderly women who resided in North Texas retirement homes.
Apart from ending their lives, Chemirmir could go ahead and steal valuable items from them.

According to US media, the suspect has been indicted on 18 counts of capital offence and he is said to have been committing the heinous acts while posing as an employee of a retirement community organisation in Dallas.
“Police records, medical examination reports and civil suits already link the suspect to the deaths of 24 elderly women in a span of two years between 2016 and 2018,” the Dallas Morning reported.
Police also say that while not posing as a staff at the retirement community organisation that takes care of the elderly, Chemirmir also posed as a maintenance worker who was checking on leaky pipes, showers and sinks.
Once he was allowed into the house of an elderly person, the man then turned wild and ended the lives of his victims by asphyxiation- the state or process of being deprived of oxygen, which can result in unconsciousness or death.
Police say he used pillows by forcing them down the faces of his victims until they died.
He is said to go ahead and steal cash and jewellery plus other valuable items from them.
His first case will be that of a woman aged 81 who was killed at her Far North Dallas home in March 2018.
6This will be followed by another where he is accused of trying to kill a 90-year-old woman from Plano.
