Kenyans on social media – Facebook and Twitter – have shared a list of top questions they would want Deputy President William Ruto asked in an interview with K24 Television news anchor, Anne Kiguta, on Sunday, July 21.

The DP will be the first guest on the show Punchline, which premieres on Sunday at 9:30pm.

K24 TV, through its Facebook and Twitter pages, on Thursday, July 18, asked Kenyans to suggest the questions they would wish Mr Ruto gives answers to.

Below are the Top 10 topics that featured prominently in the online users’ responses:

1. Reasons why the Jubilee administration hasn’t built even one of the five state-of-the-art stadia they promised Kenyans in the run-up to March 4, 2013 general election.

2. What the DP thinks about the state of corruption in Kenya, and what he, as President Kenyatta’s principal assistant, has done to curb graft.

3. What he would do for Kenyans in 2022 and beyond should he successfully run for president. The online users further wanted to know what is stopping the DP – today – from achieving that dream, yet he is part of the presidency.

4. His comment on the alleged assassination plot against him.

5. Where the DP gets millions of shillings to donate to churches across Kenya on a regular basis. They also want him, as a public figure, to reveal his net worth.

6. Why the DP comes across as a person defying President Uhuru Kenyatta’s order against early political campaigns.

7. As a leader who “keenly monitors the progress of government projects”, he should give an update on how far the constructions of controversial Arror and Kimwarer dams are.

8. His comment on unremitted revenues by the State to county governments, leading to governors being frustrated.

9. What the Jubilee Government is doing to ensure unemployment rate in Kenya, especially among the youth, is significantly reduced.

10. What the DP would do about Weston Hotel, given authorities confirmed that the establishment sits on State land.

In an exclusive interview with K24 Digital on Thursday, Anne Kiguta shared with Kenyans what they should expect from her in the anticipated interview.
