A Pangani-based police officer is set to be charged with obtaining money by false pretences and two counts of misuse of motor vehicles.

The officer, constable Saidi Kisongoa, is said to have also been on interdiction when he was arrested for the two offences in Mlolongo area.

Following his arrest in Mlolongo, the policeman is said to have hidden his identity as a police officer until when he was produced at the Kibera Law Courts on November 28, 2019.

The officer is now cooling his heels at the Kabete Police Station awaiting charging on Monday, for the two alleged offences.

Police officers have written to the Pangani Police Station to cross-check their records and confirm if the constable Kisongoa is under their command.
