President William Ruto has commiserated with victims of the Somali terror attack that happened over the weekend.
In a statement shared across his official social media platforms, the Head of State affirmed that Kenya will stand with Somalia and added that his administration was committed to working in unity with other countries to foster peace and security in the region.
"The people of Kenya stand with Somalia following terrorist attacks that claimed over 100 lives. We commit to work with other countries to ensure peace and security prevails in the region," Ruto stated.

Authorities in Somalia say the bombings were caused by the al Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab group that has been trying to overthrow Somalia's Us backed government.
“This is the same as what happened five years ago. The same place, the same kind of people.” Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud stated.
