Raila Odinga was among presidential candidates who left a meeting with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) following the arrival of Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto.

The Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate and his running mate Martha Karua cited 'other engagements' as the reason they left, while Roots Presidential candidate Prof George Wajackoyah left without uttering a word.

"We want to seek leave to attend to other matters but we have a very robust team behind us. We apologise for leaving before the end, but duty calls," Karua said

IEBC was holding a consultative meeting with presidential candidates at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club to deliberate on the state of preparedness by the Commission for the August 9 elections.
