PSC announces plum job openings

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has opened up job opportunities, with 12 vacancies up for grabs within their department.

In a notice on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, PSC invited qualified and interested Kenyans to apply for the positions.

Among the positions advertised are director of human resource management and development, and senior deputy directors specializing in various areas such as human resource development, discipline, employee wellness, recruitment and selection, human resource planning, compliance and performance management, and organization design and career management.

Additionally, there are openings for a director of legal services, senior deputy director for the board secretariat, and roles in management information systems, research, policy analysis, and analytics.

Applicants are encouraged to visit the commission's website to access detailed descriptions of each position.

The application process is to be conducted online through the commission's website or the dedicated jobs portal.

Interested individuals are urged to submit their applications before the deadline of May 6, 2024, with a cutoff time of 5:00 pm.

"Vacant positions in the Public Service Commission. Qualified and interested candidates should submit their applications online via the PSC jobs portal. Application deadline: 6th May 2024," PSC announced.

The PSC said that it would uphold the principles outlined in Article 232(1) of the Constitution during the recruitment process.

According to the PSC, they will ensure fair competition and merit in inviting representation from Kenya's diverse communities, along with equal employment opportunities for men and women, individuals from all ethnic backgrounds, and persons with disabilities.

"The public service commission is committed to implementing the provisions of the constitution - article 232 (1) on fair competition and merit, representation of Kenya's diverse communities and affording equal employment opportunities to men and women, members of all ethnic groups and persons with disabilities. Therefore, people with disabilities, the marginalized and the minorities are encouraged to apply. Applications should reach the commission on or before 6th May 2024 latest at 5.00 pm (East African time," PSC added.

PSC also reiterated the importance of timely application submissions.
