Police arrest 3 suspects over Bamburi gang attack

Three members of a criminal gang that attacked and injured 15 people in Bamburi area of Mombasa on Monday night have been arrested.

Kisauni Sub-County Police Commander Julius Kiragu said the suspects were arrested early on Tuesday.

Police recovered two mobile phones and other valuables believed to have been stolen from victims of the attack.

"We have three suspects in our custody. We attested them in one of their hideout following a tip off from members of the public," Mr Kiragu said.

At the same time, some of the bloody attack victims are still admitted to the Coast Provincial General Hospital with deep cuts on their heads and hands.

One of the victim who is reported to be in a critical condition after suffering a severe cut on his lower abdomen.
