Mother's Day commemorated worldwide on May 14 brings emotions of joy and sadness and especially to those who have lost a child, lost their mother or are estranged from their mother.

And for internet personality and digital strategist Pauline Njoroge the latter is a painful testament to her story on this day.

In her Mother's Day message on Facebook, Njoroge shared unexpected and personal details about losing a pregnancy but did not share the timelines.

She noted she miscarried her twins only a few months into her pregnancy saying;

"Not long ago I carried twins in my womb and they brought me the most fulfilling joy. Those few months made part of my life’s happiest days, and I was ever smiling. One of my close friends even nicknamed me Mama Happiness," part of the lengthy reveal read.

Further, Pauline says while the loss was so difficult for her to handle, she felt her mourning process was somewhat limited due to her leadership position at the time but her support system held her down.

"Losing my unborn children crashed me… watching as they disappeared in a pool of blood caused me unexplainable pain. For several months I was an emotional mess and nothing could comfort me. I broke down a million times and tears became my daily food. Out here I kept a strong face because sometimes as women and leaders, we do not have the luxury of breaking down in public no matter what is happening internally."

"I am grateful for the strong support system in my life, which carried me through this period and for God’s grace. For every mother out there, it is such a blessing to carry life and bring it to this world. Always treasure it. Happy Mother’s Day," she added.

Pauline Njoroge is famed for her controversial appointment to Tourism Regulatory Authority board that was revoked in March 9, 2023.

Pauline had served as a board member since August 2020.
