Police on Tuesday arrested Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei over alleged incitement remarks he uttered at the weekend.

Mr Cherargei is in the soup for threatening unspecified actions against critics of Deputy President William Ruto.

In his remarks, the Nandi senator said they are profiling people who are criticising the Deputy President.

Police arrested Mr Cherargei at his Eldoret home and took him to Eldoret Central Police Station to record a statement.
