Nakuru’s London Ward MCA, Sammy Karanja, has died.
Peter Palanga, the minority leader in the Nakuru County Assembly, told K24 Digital that Karanja succumbed to a disorder of the pancreas at 10pm on Wednesday, November 18. The late administrator was receiving treatment at the Nakuru War Memorial Hospital.
“It is not true that Sammy Karanja was suffering from COVID-19 as speculated,” said Palanga.
The deceased will be moved to Umash Funeral Home located on the Nakuru-Nairobi Road at 9am on Thursday, November 19.
Karanja’s death comes nearly two weeks after another MCA from Nakuru County died while receiving treatment for a short illness. Hells Gate MCA John Njuguna, alias Wa Susi, died on November 9 at the Nakuru Nursing Home Hospital.
