Nairobi man pushes girlfriend off building

Elsewhere, in the Drive-Inn area of Nairobi, a man is on the run after he allegedly pushed his girlfriend from the fifth floor of his apartment building on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

Police officers launched a manhunt for 32-year-old Peter Kamau Kuria following the death of a 25-year-old woman said to be his girlfriend.

Tenants said they heard a thud on the ground floor at 2 am and upon looking down their balconies they saw the woman’s body in a pool of blood.

The victim died on the spot from the fall. Her skull cracked open from the impact of hitting the ground after she fell off the storey building.

Police arrived at the scene after being informed that the victim's boyfriend was not around and that his house had been locked.

Confirming the incident, Nairobi Police boss James Mugera said they are looking for the man to find out what really transpired.

“We do not know what really transpired but we are looking for the suspect to get more information on what happened,” he said.

The body has been moved to the morgue for autopsy and identification.
