Police in Nairobi are in pursuit of a guard who killed a motorist over a Ksh20 parking fee bill.

K24 Digital has established that the guard only identified as Saluni stabbed the 26-year-old unnamed man after he allegedly refused to pay the amount.

It all started when the man parked his motorbike outside a construction site where the guard was manning.

When he went back to pick his motorcycle he differed with the guard leading to a heated exchange before he reached for a Somali knife which he used to stab the deceased.

"In the unfortunate incident reported at 2 am last night, the suspect only identified as Saluni is said to have demanded the Ksh20 fee from the victim, for parking his motorcycle next to a construction site that he watches.

"Seeing that the motorcycle owner was adamant and ready to rev up his wheels, Saluni brandished a suspected Somali sword from his Maasai shuka, driving it into the victim's belly before scampering off," DCI report read in part.

The body of the deceased was then taken to the facility’s morgue awaiting autopsy.

Already, a manhunt has been launched with the aim of nabbing the suspect.
