Nairobi Bound Lane of Uhuru Highway will remain closed for the next three days until Wednesday, June 2.

In a statement, Kenya Highway Authority (KeNHA) says the move is to allow contractors sufficient time to complete the installation of culverts at the Nyayo stadium roundabout.

The authority confirmed that the delay was prompted by the terrain where the constructors encountered a rock during the construction process.

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes; Aerodrome Road and Baricho Road and follow keenly on the directional road signs erected.

They have also been urged motorists to observe safety measures implemented at the construction site.
