Wajir’s Gumarey Sub-Location Assistant Chief Omar Adan Buul has been killed by suspected Al-Shabaab militants.

Buul was abducted on Friday, December 18 by the suspected terrorists and taken to an unknown place.

“Today (Monday, December 21), his head was found by herders at the junction of Khorof Harar and Konton,” says a police report filed at the Khorof Harar Police Station.

“It was established that the deceased was decapitated at another place and head placed on the road,” added the report.

Buul’s head was taken by police to Khorof Harar Police Station.

“It would later be taken to Wajir County Referral Hospital mortuary.”

Police say the administrator’s other body parts are yet to be found, with a search launched.
