The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU-Kenya) Secretary-General Francis Atwoli has dismissed reports suggesting he was flown to Germany last weekend for treatment while in critical condition.

The rumours, whose source remain unknown, mounted on social media, forcing Atwoli to take to his Twitter page Monday to refute the claims.

“Avoid the propaganda circulating on social media platforms that I have been airlifted to Germany for treatment. I am in good and perfect health, and busy executing my duties as entrusted by Kenyan and African workers,” he said at 3pm Monday, December 21.
