While confirming the incident, Naivasha OCPD Stephen Kirui noted that the body discovered by locals had deep knife stabs on various parts of the body, a missing leg and some missing fingers.

The locals who discovered the body off the road, 10 kilometres from Mai Mahiu town, suspect that the body was dropped by a speeding car.

One of the witnesses told police that blood was still sipping from the fresh wounds and that the body as found naked by the roadside.

The witness also confirmed that the deceased was not from the area and that he may have been dumped at the scene.

“The man was stark naked and it’s evident that he was tortured by people who severed off his leg before dumping the body by the roadside," Enock Ngari, a witness told a local publication.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was murdered elsewhere before being dumped in the area.

Investigations have since been launched to determine what transpired and the motive behind the murder.

“Initial investigations indicate that this man was murdered elsewhere and dumped along this road and we shall collect his fingerprints to assist in the identification process," Kirui stated.
