Man who stole OCS phones celebrates 4-month jail term, says he will add weight

Mohammed Noor who was slapped with a four-month jail term without a fine option celebrated the sentence immediately after walking out of court.

The convict said that the four months period was enough for him to gain some weight while behind the bars.

"Only four months. That's enough for me to add weight in jail," he said.

During his sentencing, Noor had also caused a stir in court after he claimed that it is the devil who cheated him to run off with two phones from a police OCS.

The 47-year convict who was charged on Monday stole two National Security Phones belonging to OCS Adan Shukri at Tahmeed bus stage along River Road in Nairobi on February 27, 2022.

According to the police report seen by K24 Digital, on the material day, police officers from Central Police Station were on normal patrol when they came across the accused who had been apprehended by members of the public.

Before they took him to Central Police Station, they confirmed he had two mobile phones - Tecno and Nokia valued at Ksh30,000. He was later arraigned at Milimani Law Courts.
