At least two counties will be affected by a power blackout on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, Kenya Power has said.
In a notice, the utility firm said the scheduled outage in Kiambu and Laikipia counties is part of routine maintenance and lasts from 8 am to 5 pm.
"Hello, these areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow (December 5, 2023). For the advance notice, use http://bit.ly/31u4jY4," Kenya Power wrote.
In Kiambu, the affected areas include part of Mataara and Gachege.
Other areas that will be affected include - Gitumba market, Mataara & Ndarugu Tea Factory, Maraara primary school and dispensary, as well as various markets including Gaitete, Gacharanye, Ituramiro, Gitwe, Gitwe, Goke, Gachege, Kamynyaka, Kanyoni, Ndiko, Kaithere, Mundoro, Kagunyi, Ndondo and adjacent customers.
The power blackout will run from 8 am to 5 pm.
In Laikipia County, the main area scheduled for power outages includes Jua Kali and adjacent customers.
