At least two counties will be affected by a power blackout on Saturday, February 24, 2024, Kenya Power has said.
In a notice, the utility firm said the scheduled power blackout in Kilifi and Bungoma counties is part of routine maintenance and lasts from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
"Good Evening. The following areas will be on a scheduled outage tomorrow (24.02.2024) to carry out network maintenance," Kenya Power wrote.
In Kilifi, the outage will run from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm in select areas including Mavueni, Dsitsoni, Chasimba, New Life Ministries, Mwarakaya, Jaribuni and adjacent customers.
In the Western region, the outage will be experienced in parts of Bungoma County. They include Kababii University, Namuyamba, Mayanja Vitungu, Mara-karu, and Makutano adjacent customers from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.
