Kenya Pipeline Company announces over 60 job vacancies

The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has announced 63 job vacancies in different departments.

In a public notice on Tuesday, December 5, the management said the state corporation is seeking to recruit highly motivated, visionary, dynamic and results-orientated candidates to fill the vacant positions to help the company meet its obligations.

Some of the advertised positions include senior roles in various departments.

The management is seeking to fill the position of Director Morendat Institute of Oil & Gas, an institution owned by KPC charged with the mandate of offering capacity building to support the Northern Corridor Integration Projects (NCIP). The Institute offers competency-based training in Oil & Gas Pipelines Management, Operations and Maintenance to develop human resource capacity for Kenya and the region. 

Other vacant positions include Chief Engineer (Civil), Chief Engineer (Corrosion Control), Chief Legal Officer (Property and Contract), Chief Legal Officer (Board Secretariat and Compliance), Chief Business Development Officer, Chief Customer Relations and Marketing Officer, Chief Engineer (Projects Construction Management), Chief Chemist, Chief Pipeline Wayleave Officer, Chief Environment Officer, Chief Supply Chain Officer (Tender and Contracts), Chief Supply Logistics Officer, Chief Security Officer, Chief Security Officer (Systems and Intelligence), Chief Security Officer (Security Operations), Senior Security Officer (Investigations and Intelligence), Senior Security Officer (Operations) and Security Officer (Intelligence and Operations).

Additionally, KPC is seeking to hire seven individuals to fill the position of Security Officer (Operations), five persons to fill the role of Assistant Security Officer (Operations) and two others to fill the position of Security Assistant (Security Operations).

The state parastatal has also advertised 30 vacancies for graduate trainees.

Interested candidates have been asked to visit the KPC website www.kpcco.ke under the Career Opportunities section where the respective job descriptions and specifications as well as the user manual containing instructions on how to apply for the positions have been posted.

The candidates should submit their applications no later than midnight on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

KPC further noted that candidates offered employment shall be required to present several clearance certificates including a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), a valid clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), a valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), a current Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-corruption Authority (EACC) and current report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

KPC is charged with the mandate of providing efficient, reliable, safe and cost-effective means of transporting petroleum products from the Mombasa Port to the hinterland.
