All Dash-8 Series fleet operated by Silverstone Air have been grounded for a week.

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) also suspended licences of Safe Air and Adventure Aloft on Tuesday.

"Silverstone Air Services Limited is in breach of several 2018 Civil Aviation Regulations including but not limited to Civil Aviation (Operation of Aircraft for Commercial Transport) Regulations, 2018 Regulation 113, 121, 263, 264 and the Civil Aviation (Air Operator Certification and Administration) Regulations 2018," said a letter written by KCAA seen by K24 Digital.

The decision follows outrage after two of its planes were involved in air incidents at the Wilson Airport and Eldoret International Airport.

One of the planes made an emergency landing in Eldoret after a fell off as it was taking off from Lodwar en route to Nairobi.

In the second incident, another plane skidded off the runway at Wilson Airport.

The two incidents occurred within a two-week timeline.
