Police also said the explosion also slightly damaged a motor vehicle, a white Toyota G-Touring registration number KBC 412D.
ATPU visit scene in Kariobangi
Detectives from the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) and other experts visited the scene and established that the device that exploded was an 84mm military ordinance.
“The explosion was a low order detonation because it occurred within the fusing system of the ordinance after explosives had already been removed from it,” detectives said.
