This name is not new to the ears of Kenyans. Some people remember Jim for being the Director at Rise Up Society (RUS) organization that leads anti-jigger campaign in Western Kenya while some know him as an aspiring politician in the region having unsuccessfully contested for Bungoma gubernatorial seat in 2017. Some also know him as a revered man of God at Rise Up Society Mission Kipsongo church which he owns and he is the bishop.
But K24 Digital can however now report that this man of the cloth is being accused of luring men and defiling them before threatening them with death.
Two of his churchmen; a pianist and a Praise & Worship man have come out to reveal how the man of God has repeatedly slept with them.
According to the two who spoke to this reporter on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, the Rise Up Society Mission Kipsongo leader, lured them with among other things car rides and cash to accept his sexual needs at his Milimani estate home.
“He asked me to visit his house where he promised to give me one of his many cars to be using plus another lump sum amount of cash but he ended up brandishing a pistol on my face before sodomizing me in his living room,” narrated one of the victims.
The victim, who had been working as a pianist at Nduruchi’s church and living in a house at the church’s compound, told this reporter that Jim warned him not to let out the information or risk death. He went ahead to chase the victim from his compound rendering the poor man homeless.
“I now have nowhere to live with an incident draining my emotion and self-esteem. I do not see the meaning of life anymore if such a highly respected person who claims to be a man of God can do such an unnatural act to me.”
This victim went ahead to allege that in 2019, Jim killed his friend John Gift Masinde who was a comedian and a university student. The victim says John Gift was someone he knew and that he met his death for trying to object Jim’s move to sodomize him (John Gift).
It can be remembered that John Gift met his death after meeting his sponsor Jim in Kitale then.
There had been claims that the comedian met his death after being poisoned, sodomized, and rushed to hospital to cover up the incident, according to his sister Ms Wafula then.
“John Gift was still bleeding all over his body. There was a lot of blood on his skull, bladder, stomach and brain. As a family, we want to know why, a week later, my late brother is still bleeding in excess,” she said in a past interview.
Jim, however, still remains innocent until proven guilty as it is up to the law enforcement officers to prove the allegations against him and charge him in a court of law.
The other victim who is a House Agent in Kitale town narrated how the former Bungoma gubernatorial candidate has been coercing him to have anal sex with him. The victim says he had to quit Praise and Worship church team where Jim ministers.
“The guy is constantly stalking me and pestering me with calls and text messages on how he wants us to have the unnatural act with a promise of a plump job. He has been sending me money through MPESA, something that has strained my relationship with my wife who has seen some of the messages on my phone.”
The two are allegedly among more than 50 other boys who have reportedly been sexually assaulted by the man of God.
“We are the bold ones who have decided to tell the world what is happening in Kitale and we know of many other men who fear to come out openly.”
Religious leaders in Trans Nzoia have come out to strongly condemn the act citing that it was ruining the image of churches in the county.
Led by bishop Andrew Wafula of United Christian Ministries who doubles up as Organizing Secretary - Trans Nzoia Church Ministers Fellowship and Bishops Council, said that they were astonished by the news of man of cloth indulging in such activities.
“We are wondering how on earth a church minister could indulge in such an activity that really disgusts everyone. How on earth can even a church minister think of sodomising our boys in the name of helping them. I am shocked with the information,” Wafula said.
Wafula has further asked the relevant authorities to vet all churches and church leaders in a bid to weed out the fake ones.
“We want an audit of all the churches in Trans Nzoia county in order to separate those who are truly worshipping God from those who are doing evil things.”
Efforts to get comments from Jim on the allegations ended in vain as he intimidated this writer claiming that the said teenagers had pocketed a lot of his money, before hanging up the phone. Since then, he has not picked our calls.
