COVID-19: Record number of patients recover from virus as cases hit 3000-mark

A record 175 people were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours after recovering from the coronavirus disease.

Briefing the country on Wednesday, June 10, Health Cabinet Administrative Secretary Dr. Rashid Aman said 105 more tested positive for the virus.

The new Covid-19 cases were confirmed from a sample of 2, 273, bringing to total 3,094 infections in the country.

So far, the country has tested 102,956 samples since the virus arrived on our shores.

On the distribution of the cases reported today in counties, Nairobi led with 43, Busia 18, Mombasa 11, Turkana 7, Migori 6, Kwale and Kiambu 5 each, Kilifi, Machakos, and Taita Taveta 3 each, and Kisumu 2.

Uasin Gishu, Siaya, Kajiado and Garissa had one case each.

All the cases confirmed in Busia and Turkana counties were truck drivers at the Malaba and Nadapal border points.
