Boda boda rider arrested in Kisumu for defiling grade 3 pupil

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Kisumu for allegedly defiling a 13 year old minor.

The incident took place at Nyamasaria area Kasule sub-location within Kisumu County.

Confirming the matter, Kisumu County Police Commander Samuel Anampiu said they got a report from Christine Akuku who is the mother of the minor.

That her daughter, a class three pupil at Nyamasaria primary school had developed unusual mode of walking suggestive of some bodily harm.

"After noticing the change in her walking style, she keenly interviewed her when she finally opened up that one male adult Josohat Odhiambo 26 and a bodaboda rider has been occasionally defiling her," he said.

From the report they received, the police boss told us that they established that the perpetrator on 23rd July repeatedly defiled the minor.

He also said that Akoko reported the matter to the area assistant chief Erick Adongo who immediately summoned the suspect and later escorted him to the patrol base where he was arrested and detained for further investigations.

The minor confirmed that she was escorted to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching And Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) gender department for treatment.
